Writer. Librarian. Story lover.

My Work

At the heart of all of my work is the love of a good story! Although I’m not working in a library at the moment, I am forever and always a children’s librarian at heart. Connecting a child with the right book for them is one of my favorite things. Now, I am writing those books. I have two middle grade novels and several picture books in the works.

I also write The Family Garden newsletter to inspire families to create habitat for wildlife in their gardens. I know gardening as a family can feel overwhelming or like an extra chore. My goal is to help families find ease and enjoyment gardening while saving the natural world one garden at a time.

I am also available for write-for-hire jobs. I have an MAT in Early Childhood Education, an MLIS focused on children’s librarianship, and years of experience working with children that I bring to my work. I particularly enjoy writing early readers and chapter books. Some of my favorite topics are gardening, nature, the paranormal, ancient life, and history. However, I love learning and research and will dive happily dive into most topics (except sports—I’m not the girl for a sports book). If you have a project that could be a good fit, please reach out!

I’m always interested in connecting with other librarians and writers, folks who wish to collaborate, or just people who love stories as much as me.
